Graydon Hall Nursery Schools has an opening for an energetic, creative, and dynamic Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) for Stouffville Village Child Care.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated RECE to support the development and well-being of children in our care at Stouffville Village Child Care. The ideal candidate will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes early childhood growth. This role requires excellent communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children of diverse backgrounds and needs.
Duties
- Supervise and monitor children’s activities to ensure safety at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
- Assist children with daily routines, including feeding, dressing, and hygiene
- Foster positive social interactions and emotional development among children
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress and needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
- Use computer skills to document activities, update records, or communicate with team members
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum and classroom management strategies
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing necessary accommodations
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and policies
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and classroom experience is advantageous
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, organizational skills, and time management are essential
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children requiring additional support
- Experience using computers for documentation, lesson planning, or communication purposes is beneficial

- Candidates must be registered with and in good standing with the College of ECE.
- Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR training.
