Graydon Hall Nursery Schools
FAQs

"We are writing to let you know how pleased we are with the care Alexander, our 18 month old, is receiving at Stouffville Village Child Care. He has an allergy to milk and milk products and the staff have been exceptionally thorough with providing him foods that he can eat. He is always happy to go to daycare and just as happy when we pick him up."

The Ogstons

  • 1. Will my child have the opportunity to take his/her scheduled rest?
    • Every afternoon, a rest time is provided for all children. We believe it is necessary for children to have some time to themselves each day and be able to relax from the day's activities. Please send a blanket labelled with your child's first and last name. The teacher will send it home regularly to be washed. Sheets are supplied by the school for the cots.
  • 2. Does my child need to be toilet trained to start?
    • Absolutely not. Each child develops at their own pace. When your child is showing signs of readiness to begin this process our staff will work in conjunction with you to make this transition successful.
  • 3. What are the hours of operation for Graydon Hall Nursery Schools?
    • All of our centres are open from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • 4. What are the qualifications of your teaching staff?
    • Many of our teachers are qualified Registered Early Childhood Educators (R.E.C.E.) and some are in training. We are committed to ongoing development of our team with various training events throughout the year.

Graydon Hall Nursery Schools conducts thorough background checks on all members of our team, which include criminal reference checks.
  • 5. My child requires medication; will Graydon Hall administer the
    medication?
    • Any medications must be clearly labelled, in its original container and signed in the medication book in your child's room. In accordance with The Day Nurseries Act, we are not able to administer non-prescription medication.
  • 6. Will my child take part in outdoor activities?
    • Yes! Outdoor experiences are an important part of the day. We provide activities and experiences that allow a child to further explore the outside world. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately to go outdoors daily during each season. Being properly dressed for the weather will ensure a fun-filled outdoor time.
